National Symbols of Pakistan

Pakistan has different National Symbols such as historic document, a flag, an emblem, an anthem, a memorial tower as well as several national heroes. These symbols were adopted at different events. The oldest symbol is the Lahore Resolution for Pakistan; it was adopted by the All India Muslim League on March 23, 1940. In which the demand for separated state for the Muslims of the sub – continent was officially presented. The Tower Minar - e – Pakistan was built in 1968 at the place where the Lahore resolution was passed. Just before the Independence on 14 August 1947, National Flag was adopted as the most significant symbol for Pakistan. The National Anthem and the State Emblem both were selected in 1954.

From the national symbols of Pakistan Urdu is the National Language of Pakistan. The origin of Urdu Language found in 1400 CE. When Persian, Turkish conquered different region of the subcontinent there was a need a one standard language through which they can communicate with each other. Then Urdu served the cause of communication between Turkish and Persian and other ethnic states of the subcontinent.
