Urdu Poet Allama Iqbal

Allama Iqbal was a great poet and Philosopher and Politician in British India. Sir Muhammad Iqbal is commonly known as Allama Iqbal meaning of Scholar (Allama). He conveyed his Philosophy in Persian and Urdu.

After studying in multiethnic institution like Cambridge, Munich and Heidelberg, Iqbal started law practice. During his Law Practice, he also focuses on his writing scholarly work. Some masterpieces of his work are Asrar-e-Khudi for which he was Rumuz-e-Bekhudi and Bang-e-Dara. In India Iqbal was widely regarded for his song Saare Jahan Se Achcha. Allama Iqbal was highly regarded for his Persian poetry in Afghanistan and Iran where he was known as Iqbal Lahori.

Iqbal was great supporter of spiritual and Political revival of Muslim Civilization in the whole world especially in the Indo-Pak subcontinent. He was very prominent member of All India Muslim League. Allama Iqbal was the one who gave concept of separate state for the Muslims of the Subcontinent and was great supporter of this concept. Iqbal worked closely with Muhammad Ali Jinnah in movement of Pakistan.

He was also Know as the Muffakir-e-Pakistan ("The Thinker of Pakistan"), Shair-e-Mashriq ("The Poet of the East"), and Hakeem-ul-Ummat ("The Sage of Ummah") for his devotion toward his work.
