The purpose of world Urdu conference was Urdu Language has a rich literature and appealing poetry is being edged out by the Language of Globalization (English). Efforts are required to protect the future of Urdu Language. The executive member of World Urdu Conference Azeezulla Baig said during the conference "Languages like Urdu are being edged out, thanks to effects of globalization. Urdu is not only a means of communication but also represents years of culture and civilization"
He negated the general concept that Urdu is a language of one specific community and during the conference he quoted some famous lines of History like "Sarfaroshi Ki Tamana" and
"Inquilab Zindabad". He said the reason for the decline of Urdu language was it has become the victim of partisan politics.
The organizing body of the World Urdu Conference was Karnataka Urdu Academy and the main aim for the conference was to familiarize and generate the interest of Urdu Language keep its brilliance alive, So that the future Urdu Language could be protected.
