Tamil Nadu State Urdu Conference

The Governor of Tamil Nadu Surjit Singh Barnala asked delegates of Urdu Conference to take a pledge to save Urdu Language that was facing difficulties times.

While delivering the presidential address to Tamil Nadu State Urdu Conference 2010, he said "Only with public support, I believe, Urdu will have a rebirth."

Mr. Surjit Singh Barnala expressed his love for Urdu language by saying whenever he wrote a book, he used to makes sure that Book should also be published in Urdu Language. He used to think in Urdu Language and then writes it in English.

He released Urdu version of Chinna Kuthoosi's Tamil Book by 'Dr. Kalaignar, which contains articles which were originally published in 'Nakkeeran' and 'Murasoli' and gave trophies to outstanding Urdu writer, teachers and Professors.

Mukhtar Badri, the convenor of Tamil Nadu State Urdu Conference requested Mr. Surjit Singh Barnala to fill large number of vacancies for Urdu language subject and teachers by submitting a proper memorandum. And Urdu medium secondary grade teacher should be eligible for Tamil medium after passing Tamil test conducted by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.
