World Urdu Conference

The world Urdu conference was held on September 27th to September 30th in Bangalore to publicize the Urdu Language.
Azeezulla Baig, The executive member of organizing committee said before the World Urdu Conference said "Languages like Urdu are being edged out, thanks to effects of globalization. Urdu is not only a means of communication but also represents years of culture and civilization"
By denying the common concept that Urdu is restricted to one community, he said Urdu is the Language of Freedom Fighters and great poets in the history. "The language has sadly become the victim of partisan politics, a cause for much of its decline,"

The conference was attend by delegates of different countries like the US, UK, Russia, Canada, Germany, France, Netherlands, Japan and Mauritius. Different cultural programs of ghazal and qwali and drama were also held during the conference.
